Three years of professional training to become
a freelance Instrumentalist and/or
Instrumental Teacher
Special characteristics

This course is project- and practically- designed, i.e., the student learns the specific requirements needed in future life as a professional freelance artist and/or teacher.
The array of subjects is interdisciplinary, and is methodologically based on the musical-phenomenological working method developed by Rudolf Steiner. The goal of this education is to become an independent and entrepreneurial musician, who would be able, in various situations, to come up with and convey music in new forms.
Course content

First study instrument, instrumental pedagogy, methodology of the first study, anthropology, chamber music, harmony, aural, music theory, music history, study of forms, choral and ensemble conducting, musical phenomenology, eurhythmy, drama, concert and project management
Course duration

3 years
Examinations

Term concerts (internal and open to the public), projects and written papers. The degree consists of a public concert, demonstration lessons and a dissertation.
